Chris Clyde is the Associate Director at Nuhop. He is a '06 graduate of Prescott College where he achieved a degree in Adventure Education and a self designed degree in Experiential Education. His passion for our mission and his engaging personality are a huge asset for Nuhop, and has allowed him to wear various "hats" since he became a full-time member of the Nuhop team in 2008. If you can't find Chris in the office he is most likely out on the road taking the Nuhop mission with him to lead our Corporate Team Development program. In his time off, Chris can be most likely found in the woods walking with his dog Amigo, or Trail Running with his friend Trevor.
Trevor is a 1997 graduate of Wittenberg University with degrees in Elementary & Special Education. As the son of our founders, Jerry and Terrie Dunlap, Trevor was raised with the values and principles of our mission. While he enjoyed the challenges of being a classroom teacher, he missed the freedoms of customized education programs and that led him back to Nuhop.
Trevor is passionate about Experiential Learning and loves to foster creative environments where people can succeed through self and team discovery. His high energy and zeal translates into a contagious atmosphere of transforming fun where clients walk away with a new appreciation of themselves and their peers.
Trevor and his wife Sarah enjoy taking their three children on adventures and can be found trail running/hiking, skiing, and working the soil in their family garden.
Laura is the Director of Summer and Weekend Respite Programs at Nuhop and is super excited to join the team! She earned her bachelor degree at Texas A&M University and a master of science in physical therapy at Texas Woman's University. Prior to coming to Camp Nuhop she worked as a camp director at a retreat center for children with special needs in Texas.
Laura has two dogs, Molly and Izzy, (who are not spoiled at all). She loves being outside (especially when it's warm) and is grateful for a job where she can do something different every day and work to plan and execute some awesome programs for the people that come to Camp Nuhop!
Ben King is the newest member of our team. He is the Co - Director of Outdoor Education and Retreats. He is a 2013 graduate of Hocking College and a 2016 graduate of Prescott College, holding degrees in Eco and Adventure Tourism, and Environmental Education. Ben, also known as, Big Bear, has a fiery passion to get kids and adults outside away from technology to connect them with nature and each other. He began instructing outdoor education at Nuhop during the Spring of 2011, and has since filled many roles throughout the Nuhop Organization. Ben has taken time to move West and adventure through the mountains, oceans and rivers, and has now returned to share with our clients the lessons he has learned along the way. Ben fills his recreational time with paddling on rivers, mountain biking, gardening and hiking in the Hocking Hills.
Terri works diligently to provide excellent service to staff, parents, and campers. She is the office liaison between the Ashland Office and Summer Camp Staff. Terri is Nuhop's conduit to the campers and their families. Her enthusiasm is infectious; her detail and passion for the summer camp program is an asset to all who come in contact with her . Questions or concerns about Summer Camp and our Respite Programs can be directed to Terri.
Terri spends her free time with her two grown children and a group of amazing friends.
