Nuhop has expanded. We now have two campuses in the Mohican Valley.
Our original campus (Camp Nuhop) is now called our Pine Campus. Our new campus is being called our Hemlock Campus and is located one road away from the original site along the Clearfork Valley Scenic Trail.
The acquisition of our second site has given us the opportunity to serve even more students and groups moving forward.
Both campuses are located between Perrysville and Butler, Ohio. Situated midway between Cleveland and Columbus, Nuhop’s campuses are close enough to large metropolitan areas yet far enough away to create that change of pace and place we all need.
Nuhop’s Pine Campus is surrounded by the Mohican State Forest and near Malabar Farm State Park. Camp Nuhop’s Hemlock Campus is connected to the Clearfork Valley Scenic Trail and Hemlock Falls, part of the Richland County Park District. These natural areas are the perfect venues for our summer camp for kids with ADHD and other learning disabilities, as well as for retreat and outdoor education groups that love canoeing, hiking, and other fun outdoor activities.
Both campuses have awesome facilities for groups of all sizes. Combine them both, and the capacity is even greater.
Nuhop’s Pine Campus has a max capacity of 240 people with a retreat center (facility) that sleeps 40 and ten sleeping cabins that sleep 200. Additional spaces include two small meeting lodges, two pavilions, an activity barn, and a private beach on Pleasant Hill Lake. The site also has a challenge course with a giant swing, panther pole, ropes course, and climbing wall.
Nuhop’s Hemlock Campus has a maximum capacity of 180 people with a main lodge (facility) that dines over 200 and three large meeting rooms with beautiful views of the valley. Additional facilities include a dorm lodge with four wings that sleep 140. The site also has a dorm called Red Apple that is designed as a flexible space that sleeps up to 40 people. Complete with two kitchenettes and basement activity rooms. This site also has a challenge course with a giant swing, ropes course, and bouldering wall.
Both sites are the ideal setting for corporate leadership development retreats, church retreats, outdoor education programs, and other special events.
